ESMO

Redevelopment of an inner city, six story, commercial building central to the Elizabeth Street Mall.

Project involved stripping the existing building back to the perimeter shell including removal of all windows and demolition of the sixth floor structure to floor level. Refurbishment required scaffolding to be erected to the building perimeter, which required the scaffold to be suspended above adjacent roofs. A new 830m square floor area was constructed to level six combined with new mall façade, windows, electrical, plumbing, mechanical ventilation, fire sprinklers to all levels. Works included a full internal fit-out of floors 1-6.

A HUP 27-32 self-erecting crane was set up in the Elizabeth Street Mall for ten months providing efficient removal & supply of equipment and materials to all levels of the site.

Vehicle access to the site was via the Elizabeth Street mall with restricted hours between 7pm-8.30am so logistics coordinating materials required careful planning.

Aurora Energy were contracted as ingoing tenant for five of the six floors and engaged Wilkins Construction Pty Ltd to undertake internal fit-out works, coordinated with base building works.
